Anesthesia care in Manhattan for more than 50 years
Anesthesia Associates is a clinician-run group of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs). We provide anesthesia for surgeries and procedures at Manhattan Surgical Hospital and Ascension Via Christi Hospital – Manhattan.
How we started
The practice began with four CRNAs caring for patients in Manhattan. As the community grew, the group grew with it. Today our team has 15 CRNAs.
Many of them are raising families here, cheering at their kids' games, volunteering in the community, and following K-State on Saturdays. When you come in for surgery, there's a good chance your anesthesia provider is also your neighbor.
The care we provide
Our CRNAs provide anesthesia for everything from routine outpatient procedures to complex surgery. That includes general anesthesia, sedation, spinal anesthesia, and nerve blocks that help control pain after surgery and reduce the need for opioid pain medicine.
Specialties we support
Our CRNAs provide anesthesia for procedures in:
- Orthopedic surgery
- General surgery
- Gynecology surgery
- Urology
- ENT
- Cardiology
- Pulmonology
- Ophthalmology
- Gastroenterology
- Neurosurgery
- Podiatry
- Imaging and radiology
- Chronic pain procedures
What is a CRNA?
A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist is an advanced practice registered nurse with graduate-level training in anesthesia and national board certification. Nurse anesthetists have been providing anesthesia in the United States for more than 150 years. Today, CRNAs care for patients in every setting, from large medical centers to small rural hospitals.
